The Gaming Giant Hires Apex Legends Producer to Revitalize Challenged Hero Shooter Ambitious Title
The renowned publisher has welcomed a seasoned producer from Respawn Entertainment to oversee the studio crew at their internal studio, which is currently crafting the anticipated over-the-shoulder action-packed title known as Project Ethos.
Management Change Follows Lukewarm Feedback
The new appointee assumes the role of studio head at 31st Union following the dismissal of former leader the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was reportedly let go due to Project Ethos' lackluster early showing last autumn.
Recently, the company's top executive a key figure notified team members about this organizational change through an internal memo, which highlighted that early feedback sessions had shown the need for a clearer vision.
The president noted that the developers is now refining Project Ethos with a renewed vision, aiming to satisfy community desires.
Trend of Key Acquisitions
The news echoes a comparable action taken by 2K Games in the summer, when they brought on an industry veteran from Blizzard to contribute to the BioShock studio Cloud Chamber.
Below is the entire text from the president's memo:
Team—
I understand you all just finished your gathering - I trust you’re as excited as I am with the recent updates. Previously I shared you all a message, I mentioned the following: “I believe in this group. You all are some of the most motivated and creative creators we have had the opportunity to work with - and we’re looking forward for that partnership to endure.”
Through your commitment and versatility, especially over the past twelve months, you consistently demonstrate that.
The community feedback from last autumn’s Project ETHOS demo was informative. It confirmed the promise of a action-packed game but told us we still had refinements needed. It uncovered the requirement for a clearer vision.
It’s been inspiring to see how far you’ve come. You accepted the input to consideration and revamped Project ETHOS with a revitalized goal - one that’s positioned to fulfill its potential to our fans.
Our confidence in this project strengthens every day. To further the remarkable development you’ve made, I am thrilled to introduce the new hire as the new Director of 31st Union. Following a period of conversations, he starts with us on Monday, October 20.
His guidance and expertise in the PVP shooter field is vast, having dedicated the last 15 years developing and leading some of the most recognizable series in gaming, for example the acclaimed shooter, and lately, the battle royale hit.
I invite you all in greeting him next week. We are all looking forward to keep observing the evolution of Project ETHOS in the weeks to come.
The President

The game has not yet received an official release date or supported systems, but enthusiasts can look forward to additional details as creation advances.
