I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
